Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy applies to fishing charter bookings made through New Moon Sport Fishing. Cancellations may be initiated by the customer or by the captain. Refunds depend on the booking status and timing, as set out below.

2. Before Payment

If your booking is still Pending (awaiting captain acceptance) or Accepted but not yet paid, you may cancel at any time from “My Bookings” without a fee. No payment has been collected, so no refund is required. Captains may also decline a request, in which case no charge applies.

3. After Payment (Confirmed Bookings)

Once you have paid and the booking is Confirmed, the following applies:

  • Cancellation by you: If you cancel a confirmed booking, refunds (if any) are at the discretion of the captain and/or our policy for the specific charter. We recommend cancelling as early as possible. Contact us and the captain to discuss.
  • Cancellation by the captain: If the captain must cancel (e.g. weather, safety, vessel issue), you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the charter.
  • No-show: If you do not show up for the trip without prior cancellation, no refund will be issued.

4. Weather and Safety

Fishing charters are subject to weather and sea conditions. If the captain determines that conditions are unsafe, the trip may be rescheduled or cancelled. In the event of a captain-initiated cancellation for safety or weather, you are entitled to a full refund or reschedule as agreed with the captain.

5. How to Cancel or Request a Refund

To cancel a booking, use the “Cancel” option in “My Bookings” (for unpaid requests) or contact us via the Contact page for confirmed bookings. Refunds, when applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period as per our payment provider’s terms.
